X-Gloo was made to go anywhere and can be anchored to almost any type of surface including concrete, stone, carpet, snow or timber flooring. It’s versatile selection of anchoring styles, covers both soft and hard ground, using the ballast system means securing the X-Gloo even in precarious places like hills is simplistic.
Every X-Gloo is weather-resistant as standard. Each tent is waterproof and can withstand winds of up to 20mph without ballast – we’ve even tested them in industrial wind tunnels to prove it! Standing under an X-Gloo will also give you as much UV resistance as putting on factor 50 suntan lotion and the polyethylene covers are fire resistant. In short, an X-Gloo can withstand almost anything the elements can throw at it.
In a stable environment an X-Gloo could theoretically stay inflated for an indefinite period of time. In extremes of hot and cold, due to the air inside the bladder and legs contracting or expanding could require a top-up every now and then, which can be performed using hand pump supplied with your tent.
Your X-Gloo can be washed, but only using a very mild detergent. Special care must also be taken over what colours are washed together: if your X-Gloo contains vibrant reds, blues or other similar colours mixed with white, these colours could run in high temperatures, ruining the design.
In the unlikely event that your X-Gloo is punctured or damaged the affected parts can easily be removed for repair. Legs can be unclipped from the central anchoring point, while walls, inner tubes and other accessories can be removed by unzipping them from the frame. Repairing a puncture to the X-Gloo is as simple as repairing a bicycle tube. X-Gloo Australia offers a free X-Gloo health check in your first six months to ensure that your X-Gloo is in top condition.
Most Definitely! Set-up obviously varies depending on which X-Gloo is being inflated. For the smaller models, such as the 4×4 and the 5×5, it can take as little as 5-10 minutes to inflate the X-Gloo using an electric pump. The larger models are just as quick, with the largest, the 8×8, taking just 35 minutes to inflate in full using an electric pump. If inflating your X-Gloo by hand, these times will be longer.
